Moving Ahead by Standing Still

I am sure you are wondering how does one move ahead by standing still......Helena and I have decided in order to improve and grow our business at this time it is best for us to concentrate on our corporate accounts for the holidays and push back the new website preview for Feb. 2011.....This is a financial decision which we feel is necessary to keep us solvent through these hard economic times....Although we will not be open for business on line we will be utilizing the Internet via our Facebook fan page to introduce our new Gourmet Food products and share with you our new basket line that we're both very excited about..so for us right now "standing still" is our way of assuring we will be "moving ahead."...Veronica

Job Interviews Interview? Continued.........

I didn't get to interview the job today, it called in sick!  No kidding! I gladly took advantage of my new found free time, a quick change and on to the gym, then straight to the supermarket where I completed most of my holiday shopping. I have a reschedule on the jobs interview sometime next week, I really am looking forward to this interview, its a part time job, so it won't interfere with my regular full time job or my ambition to make our business a success! So stay tune I am really excited about this new venture, if it clicks for me it will be a serious opportunity for some fun spending money!  Can anyone say VACATION!...Roni

Holiday Thoughts

Getting ready for the holidays is always a big event in Mary's kitchen, our Mom loved the holidays and looked forward to enjoying the day with family.  She always outdid herself when it came to the holiday meal, food was always plentiful and I don't believe anyone could cook like our Mother!  Will prepare more or less the same holiday feast, but it never quite taste the same! We are grateful to spend the day together in the comfort of our Mom's, Mary's Kitchen and our thankful for the many blessings life as bestowed upon us, especially the love of such a wonderful woman.  Wishing you all a happy holiday....Roni

Using Social Media, Become a Fan, Facebook Us!

Facebook us and become a fan today!  Going from 1 to 115 is just the start, we are hoping to become the largest gift basket fan page on Facebook.  We need your help, add us to your profile and suggest your friends become a fan also!  Facebook is not only one of many social media's that we have joined to plug our business name, it is by far the biggest and most important! I learned right away about using free media and social sites to improve google rankings, none truly clicked until I started a fan page on Facebook, now we are 115 strong and growing, we are also climbing the google rankings!  We know how important gaining name recognition is, becoming more familiar to the public is key to our eventual  success....Roni

Helping Hands

We have been blessed with a wonderful family and such great friends, whom have contributed to Mary's Kitchen in so many ways ! Whatever the task they have been ready and willing, from taste testing, to product labeling and much more!  It's a wonderful feeling and truly an inspiration to have so many people pulling for your success, we thank them all so much! One such friend is Screenwriter, Rocco Simonelli, who has helped us countless times, his testimonial has helped us achieve better rankings on Google because of the association with his name! Below is our very first testimonial:
There's good, there's better and then there's the best.  When is comes to gift baskets Mary's Kitchen is the best.  Whether I'm sending my love to a family member or hoping to impress a business colleague, I know I can count on Mary's Kitchen for a gift basket that's "just right"  for the occasion! If there were box office rankings for gift baskets, Mary's Kitchen would be number one! Signed, Rocco Simonelli
Much luck Rocco from everyone at Mary's Kitchen on your new screenplay soon to be in production!.....Roni

Regrouping and looking ahead

It truly is an adventure starting your own business, I wish everyone who has a vision and passion as we did has the opportunity to see it materialize!  It has not been easy and we are working everyday to keep our dream alive, todays economy has had a great effect on small businesses such as ours, we have had to slow down a bit on expanding our product line and focus more on developing corporate accounts.  We have had great success it that area, our Signature Gift Baskets our a perfect fit for most corporate needs, the following testimonial is from our very first corporate account:
My wife and I received a Mary's Kitchen Gourmet Gift Basket. Upon receiving this gift I was immediately impressed with the packaging and delighted that the contents within did not disappoint. When faced with a gift choice for a client I immediately thought of Mary's Kitchen! The warm thank-you I received let me know my client was as impressed as I was. Now whatever the occasion, whether it be for a client or one of my fine staff, the perfect gift is just a click away, thanks Mary's Kitchen!-Guy R. Our goal is simple, use this blog to introduce our company to as many potentially new customers as possible. We are delighted for any opportunity to speak about our company and this seems like the perfect place to showcase a new and upcoming company like ours. Our most recognizable product is our Mary's Kitchen Signature Blend Gourmet Coffee, it truly is the flavor of home! We would like to share a testimonial we are most proud of regarding our coffee-
Roni and her sister Helena have been very special in our lives in helping our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have been shipping boxes overseas for 6 years (see our website www.soldiersmemorialfund.org) and one of the most requested items that the soldiers want is coffee. Mary's Kitchen continuously supports our brave warriors and sends us the coffee to ship to them. God Bless our troops and God Bless Mary's Kitchen! Maj. Gen. (ret). and Mrs. Paul Vallely.
Thank you Maj. Gen. and Mrs. Paul Vallely for allowing us to play a small part in your great effort, we are humbled by your kind words......Roni
